Some amazing artwork we have for sale at the Mercantile, many of them being originals by Dan’s sister, Sharon Price!
About the Artist 🎨 Sharon’s paintings are traditional in approach, and she strives to achieve a balance between both realistic and impressionistic painting styles. An accomplished painter in both oil and pastel, she prefers to paint in oils. Growing up on Long Island Sound in Connecticut, Sharon feels most at home painting on the coast. She finds herself at the ocean or a marsh and chooses the coast of Maine, scenes from Martha’s Vineyard, Plum Island and Newburyport, MA as her main subject matter. Painting at a coastal location is a relaxing, therapeutic, and creative process for Sharon. Listening to the sounds of the ocean, wind, and surrounding wildlife helps her to be connected with her subject, which translates to her painting.
